She waits
to cross
measures
her loss.
Days are
gone
years have passed
but these
seconds
matter
they could be
her last.
He waits
he watches
silence like death
only the tick
of seconds
fills the room
resounding
pounding
each tick
closer to
doom.
Snapping his
gloves
chemical smell
pollutes the
air; smug
grin cracks
his face
joyfully taking
his place
and he can't
get enough
to destruct
and all he
wants is
seconds.
The gown crinkles
while her frown
wrinkles
her face. Stuck
in this place
the choice
is hers
it's not too
late. To change
her mind
rewind
leave behind
her selfish choice.
Life wins.
Feet on the
floor she runs
to the door
grabs his hand
clutching
her stomach
full of life
she
takes her
second
chance.
Wonderful!!
